The cellphone is only available in Dubai and costs close to $4,500. What makes it special is the cover that includes crystals, and 24 carat gold. To make it even more special, only 50 units were created so there isn't a big chance of getting your hands on one. Other than the price and gold, the handset is similar to a Nokia mixed with Pirates of the Caribbean.

As far as I read about this phone, everybody commented this handset is ugly, but I don’t think so. This is the most artistic phone I’ve ever seen. I like the color composistion, it’s so natural. Only available in Dubai and made only 50 pieces, this phone covered with 24 carat gold and Swarovski crystals. Price: $4,400.

Talk about ugly - you probably can't do any worse than with the Givori Nefertiti handset. It looks as though this phone was in possession of Davy Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean series for a really, really long contract period - so long, in fact, that you have barnacles and what-nots attached to it just like how Davy "gracefully" changes the sailors' he has "mercy" on in due time. Well, it isn't all icky since you will find 24-carat gold and Swarovski crystals adorning this $4,500 handset. You'll find this only in luxury stores across Dubai, and chances are prtty good that this will remain on store shelves for a long, long time.

To that end, Nokia has announced its newest Nokia 8800 Arte variant - the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte. Like its black-metal and Sapphire siblings, the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte represents Nokia’s highest echelon of fashionable handsets that make a bold statement. In addition to titanium, polished glass, and stainless steel accents, the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte adds CF panels on the front and back of the device. Sure, there’s no real use for the high-strength, low-weight carbon fibers on a cellphone, but the 8800 Arte is all about style - practicality be damned.

The Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte  features a bumped-up 4GB of on-board storage to complement the 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, full HTML browser, and crisp OLED display - basically the same feature-set that the we see in the rest of the Nokia 8800 Arte lineup, with the exception of increased internal storage.

The Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte should go on sale before the end of September for $1,600 (~€1,100) as a tri-band (900/1800/1900Mhz) European 3G (2100Mhz) handset, so start saving your spare change!

Back in February we saw Moto Smart Rider passing the FCC hurdle, and now, almost two months later it's here. Of course, it was announced at the CTIA where we expected much more from America's struggling handset makers, but "it is what it is," as they say.

Anyway, the Smart Rider is everything but an eye-appealing device. Then again, Moto may be targeting a bit older audience who don't like all the mambo-jumbo of the modern smartphones. In that sense, if they pitch it properly, this may end up a success.

As for the specs — aside from the built-in GPS which is accompanied with powerful navigation features such as voice-guided directions, real-time traffic reports and automatic re-routing — the Smart Rider also features 2.8 inch screen, Bluetooth, and voice activation. Now, we've seen other gaudy, high-end handsets that have drawn our ire, but nothing like this. The Givori Serendipity starts off as a fine-looking Nokia N76. Then Givori covers it with all manner of nasty trinkets and slaps a $3,077 price tag on it.
