Other than the TP-Link Single USB2.0 Port print servers we got a couple more in store for those who are looking for print servers for their homes and offices.

The TP-Link Pocket-sized Wireless Print Server is small print server with wireless capabilities that work with most printer models in the market including all-in-ones. Just plug the printer to the USB port and computer could tap to the printer via wireless connection. It provides encryption and supports windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. The TP-Link Single Parallel Port Fast Ethernet Print Server connects to the printer via parallel port while the server itself connects to your LAN network so computers could share a printer.

If you’ve ever wondered how the slick HTC Touch HD is faring, then rejoice because it’s got its first review yet. Unfortunately for us, English-speaking populace, the review is in German (which is not surprising given the HTC Touch HD is slated for a Europe release).

The reviewers at AreaMobile reviewed the HTC Touch HD based on design, operation, and browsing; video, music, and camera capabilities; and GPS, voice quality, and battery life. The reviewers noted that the HTC Touch HD could very well be the perfect smartphone if not for Windows Mobile’s issues and technical limitations. They also called it the first device that actually deserves to be called the “iPhone Killer.” The large 3.8-inch screen was found to be responsive although the landscape keyboard is only available on the web browser. Call quality is a bit flat and using 3G doesn’t make a big difference in battery life unlike using 3G on the iPhone. That’s a big plus in my book.

There are so many feature-rich phones these days that it’s hard to decide which one to get. A tactic used by companies to sell is to encourage the development of application native to their device so that people would be encouraged to buy them. The perfect example would be, of course, Apple’s iPhone App Store.

Windows is planning on a similar store called the SkyMarket while Google Android is preparing for its own Android Market. Another one to join in the app frenzy is RIM with the BlackBerry Application Center. Crackberry’s got first news about it, along with a few pictures for you to enjoy. According to the report, the BlackBerry Application Center will carry apps designed for BlackBerry Storm’s 4.7 operating system and touch screen user interface. This means the first apps would be limited seeing as they could only be used on one device. Does this mean RIM is planning on making more full-faced touch screen devices? Maybe, but the BlackBerry Application Center might also carry apps for other BlackBerry models later on.

Samsung has been on a roll lately; after the recent announcement of the brand’s new 8-megapixel camera phone called Pixon M8800, Samsung jumped back to the low-end product line for folks who can’t afford premier, feature-laden mobile phones.

The Samsung GT-S3600 is a clamshell mobile phone that has the same brushed metal finish that could be seen on the Samsung Soul phones. In fact, it looks like a carbon copy of the Samsung G400 Soul clamshell albeit stripped of the features that make the Soul phone a bit on the pricey end. The GSM/EDGE Samsung GT-S3600 phone has a passable 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR connectivity, and the usual FM radio capability with recording functionality. No price and availability were given, but seeing as it’s a basic mobile phone, you can probably pick up free on a contract.

While the rest of the world has only started working on mobile phones equipped with projectors, China Mobile Phone already has their own version available in the market. The device in question is the N70-B projector phone which, on first glance, doesn’t look anything fancy at all.

But China Mobile’s N70-B actually has built-in projector that could show images between 34 to 64 inches in size. It’s a GSM 900/1800MHz phone with a 2.4-inch touch screen display, a microSD card slot, and a pitiful 0.3 MP camera. Using its built-in projector, your video clips would be projected within a one to two meter range and with 640 x 480 pixels resolution which isn’t impressive but isn’t so bad if you REALLY want a projector phone to play with. To make full use of the projector phone, it has input ports for media players, computers, and even DVD players.

China Mobile’s N70-B is now available for US$371.90.

The Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980 Stereo Bluetooth headset is a wireless audio device for some hands-free phone experience. It features automatic volume adjustment that tweaks volume based on ambient noise and DSP technology for noise reduction and echo cancellation.

The headset can connect to two devices simultaneously with its multipoint functionality so you can connect to laptops and phones or media players at the same time. Speaking of sounds, the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980 is capable of streaming music through A2DP support so you don’t have to worry about audio quality. The headset ships with a couple of ear plugs so you can choose which one fits you best.

A recent Symbian S60 webcast by Nokia had people buzzing whether Nokia’s coming up with a new phone anytime soon. According to those who attended the webcast, Nokia showed what it seems like a new concept device.

It looks just like any other full-face touch screen phone, but a QWERTY keyboard is hidden in the pencil box form seen in Nokia Communicators. The screen then swivels to align with the keyboard which is, by the way, a touch screen keypad rather than a physical one. Let’s hope it features tactile feedback or it will be a big letdown. Could this be Nokia’s next Communicator? I say make it THE next Communicator, Nokia, and blow us all away with its awesomeness.

A recent article by The Wall Street Journal reports that HP will soon release a new smartphone. It isn’t clear whether the new phone will be iPaq-branded; what’s clear is that the new phone will be sold in retail stores to consumers rather than just to corporate users like before.

The new phone which is most probably the one codenamed HP Oak will feature a touch screen display, an alphanumeric keypad, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The phone will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and, just like any other smartphone, can be used for emailing and surfing the net using HSDPA and WiFi. Target launch according to the slide above is September 2008, but obviously, the plan didn’t pan out. According to WSJ though, the HP Oak will debut in Europe within the next two months.

The Ninja might not have liked the BlackBerry Storm when he gave us a short video review of the yet to be released device, but I’m sure a whole lot of you are still hyped about it. After all, it IS RIM’s first full-faced touch screen BlackBerry.

A recently leaked internal PowerPoint presentation of the two Storm models—BlackBerry Storm 9500 and BlackBerry Storm 9530—gives us more than a passing picture of what the device is. The slides show an overview of the hardware beyond the controversial screen-as-a-button approach RIM employed. You’ll also be taken on a spin of the Storm’s various features including but not limited to the camera, the screen itself, BlackBerry Media Sync, BlackBerry Facebook app, and the 3G network.
