Google has released the latest beta version of Google Toolbar v5 for Internet Explorer that allows you to save your toolbar settings online, synchronize all your bookmarks/favorites, custom buttons and AutoFill information with multiple computers and view them from any PC by signing into your Google Account.

Here are some of the new and improved features introduced in this version:

+ Custom buttons with support for Google Gadgets: Custom buttons are interactive icons on your Google Toolbar that act as quick links to websites. You can use them to get to webpages with the click of a button, search specific sites or display headlines from an RSS or Atom feed.

+ Save Toolbar settings online: With the new synchronization feature, you can save your favorite Toolbar settings, like custom buttons, bookmarks, AutoFill and notebook clips, and view them each time you sign in to the Toolbar

+ Google Notebook integration: Google Notebook is included with Google Toolbar 5, to make clipping, collecting and sharing information as you browse the web. Notebook users will be able to access all of their current notebooks, and even add to them using the ‘Star’ icon.

+ Word Finder: With the Google Toolbar Find bar, you can search for words as you type and quickly locate and highlight key terms across different pages.

+ Suggestions for navigation errors: If you mistype a web address, instead of seeing a 404 or DNS error page, Google Toolbar will show you suggestions for the address you may have wanted.

+ AutoFill Profiles: With the improved AutoFill feature, you can keep several different profiles

+ AutoLink: The AutoLink feature recognizes link-friendly information, such as addresses or tracking numbers. AutoLink also recognizes car VIN numbers, book ISBN numbers, email addresses and URLs.

+ Manage Web History from Toolbar: With Web History, you can view the pages you’ve visited and search their full text, including images, videos, and news stories. You can also delete items from your Web History and pause collection of Web History when you want to.

+ Browse by Name: If you do not know the exact URL of a site, you can simply type the domain name into your browser address bar to visit the most popular page with that name.
