WMStorage (WM5torage) v1.8 is a freeware application at Modaco that allows you to connect your Windows Mobile 6 device via USB and use an inserted storage card as a USB Mass Storage Device on Windows. This allows you to transfer files to and from your mobile device memory card using Windows Explorer, without setting up a partnership with Microsoft Activesync.
When the program is active, access to the memory card is disabled on the device, due to the requirements of the USB Mass Storage device protocol which requires exclusive access to a drive.

WM5torage 1.8 features a new option called “Lock card on attach only”. If you enable this feature, activating WM5torage will put the mobile device into an automatic mode, that is, the application will know that when a USB cable is attached to the device, it should appear as a USB disk on the computer and be hidden from the Windows Mobile filesystem. But the card is not immediately dismounted (and made unavailable to the device) when the cable is not attached; it is locked only if the cable is actually attached. When you disconnect the USB cable, Windows Mobile will automatically see the card again, without needing to de-activate WM5torage.
You can also choose to enable LED indicators or Vibrators for audio-visual notifications of Reads and Writes to and from the storage card.
