Remember the Jeep GPS RT-300 we talked about almost a year ago? Well finally we have a review for you.

Well it turns out there’s nothing special about the RT-300 just like we suspected. It’s all standard, and at a time when most manufacturers provide widescreen options paying close to $300 for this device with a 3.5″ screen does not make sense.

Overall, I was disappointed in the Jeep RT-300. For a $250 unit to earn a place on my dashboard, it needs a 4.3-inch screen, for starters. But even among products with screens about 3.5 inches, there are several others that offer at lot more features and better value than the RT-300. The Mio Moov 200, which features text-to-speech lists, is just $199, and you can find it online for less than $130. For a few bucks more than the Moov 200, you can get the Moov 210, which includes live traffic and a one-year subscription. Similarly, Magellan’s Maestro 3250, the 3.5-inch sibling of the top-of-the-line Maestro 4250 is available online for $189.
