I think that I'm like a lot of people.  I put off projects sometimes, waiting until I have better tools.  Tiona Marco is an artist who doesn't need to wait.  She creates fine art using construction paper and Crayola crayons.  That's right, the same Crayolas devoured by countless children over the past century can create very good looking art.

CrayonsThat's not to say that the creations of your little darlings at home isn't art (In kindergarten my parents were called in to discuss my many own art - countless crayon drawings of X-ray views of Gamera the flying turtle), but isn't it inspiring to know that they can use the exact same tools years later to create even more beautiful work?

Marco's website is an online gallery of her art, as well as a catalog of available prints of her lovely work realized with beguilngly simple tools.  SunflowersThough I'll bet that an artist of this calibre probably has the big box of 64 Crayola crayons with the built-in sharpener.
