Off late, Nokia seems to be doing away with the Pencil Button (ABC/Shift Key) on their mobile phone models such as Nokia N82. One of the most famous functions of the Pencil key is to perform the Copy/Paste function. Jbak ThePencil aims to resolve this problem by letting you emulate the pencil button on any S60 v3 mobile device with any key mapping.
By default the key works as intended only in Standby-Active Desktop screen & the Menu view. However, you can edit the “ThePencil.ini” file under “C:\System\Data\” to change the behavior of the application:

+ To make the assigned key act as a pencil key everywhere, add the following line to the file:
Eg- sUids=
+ To make the assigned key act as a pencil key in specific programs, add the sUIDs of those programs separated by commas.
Eg- sUids=0×101fd64c, 0×101f4cd2, 0×10201df2, 0×100058b3
+ To make the assigned key act as a pencil key only in specified programs, add an exclamation mark “!” to the beginning of the sUIDs.
Eg- !sUids=0×100058bc
