Kharma, the firm that gave us the $1 million Grand Enigma speakers, have now marked their entry into the automotive entertainment sector. They have recently shown audio system in Spyker’s new exclusive Aileron sportscar, at the 78th International Motor Show, Palexpo-Geneva. Taking mobile system integration to a new level, the Kharma-Spyker sound system dubbed Kharma Mobile System Integration is a successful addition to the whole Kharma loudspeaker range. The development of this sound system shows the complexities of the design management task and the significance of a corresponding policy of Spyker Cars together with Kharma for achieving the sought after results. In order to achive the most exclusive car loudspeaker design, the audio team at Kharma made use of the Kharma amplifier technology - an advanced version of pulse width modulation resulting in 95% efficiency of all amplifiers involved. The loudspeaker driver-units feature neodymium magnet motor systems. The car is paired to 7 Kharma loudspeakers.
The Matrix amplifier technology shows the paramount weight/power/quality ratio ever reached by an amplifier. The Kharma Matrix MP 150 amplifiers are extremely light and produce very little heat, which accounts for minimal heat dispersion. To achieve undistorted high SPL sound pressure levels, Spyker Aileron has been blessed with the Kharma air-motion transformer technology for the high frequencies. Well, this is really what we could expect from a firm like Kharma. They have already done great with their domestic loudspeaker range and now, they are doing the same with in-car entertainment system.
